Cebu City - Queen City of the South

Cebu City is one of the most important cities in the Philippines. It 's like "The Queen City of the South" of their importance in trade, transport and tourism in this part of the country famous for.

Geography

Cebu City is located along the east coast of the province of Cebu in the Visayas region. It has a total area of 291.2 km square and a population of about 800,000 people since the last census. The city has 80 barangays divided into two districts. L 'The dialect is Cebuano.

History

Cebu City is a major tourist destination in the Philippines. The most famous landmark is Magellan's Cross. The legend says that it is constructed by the researchers on her landing on the island. Each year in January, the famous Sinulog Festival Place. Originally a ritual dancethe dancers, the movement of the river (sulog) imitated, is now performed in honor of Baby Jesus.
