Top Ten Beaches of the World - Take a Holiday on Some of the Best Sands on Earth

1. Las Islas Cies of Galicia (Spain)
     Situated on the stunning Spanish Atlantic Coastline is Galicia, which is host to a stunning beach called Las Islas Cies. One of the most valuable assets of this beach is a boat trip from Baiona, which takes approximately 40 minutes and displays the breathtaking landscape to full advantage. Long ago a pirate's haunt, it is now an unspoiled national park that is open in the summer.
2. Tayrona National Park of Colombia
    With an impressive wildness of crashing waves on the untamed and partially deserted beach of "tayrona", it is easy to see why this Columbian gem has such enduring popularity. Miraculously, the property developers are still being kept at bay, so it has remained a remote and raw beauty to marvel. In the past 10 years, the popularity of Tayrona has increased hugely, aided by it's new status as a National Park.
3. Porto da Barra of Salvador (Brazil)
     This is a stunning location that never tires, where something is always going on - from the small fishing businesses to sports and, sometimes, just with people looking at the fabulous sunsets.

    A huge sand expanse with miles of dunes, Purbeck is a place full of wild and lush scenery. Located in the south of England, Purbeck is southwest of London and reachable by day trip.

    Sparkling blue sea and the fine white sand gives the impression of the Caribbean when in reality, Sincar's Bay is just eight miles south from John O'Groats, Scotland. It really supports a great deal of wild marine life with, dunlins, plovers and porpoises both off and on the shore.

     As one of the most beautiful beaches in the south Pacific, the crisp clear waters here are a haven for snorkelers and water-ski enthusiasts.
